 These terms explain how you may use Messages: AI Text SMS (“the app”, “we”, “us”). By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms.

  1. What the app is

Messages: AI Text SMS is an Android SMS app. You can set it as the default SMS app on your phone. It lets you send and receive SMS and MMS over your SIM, organize conversations, and show on-device insights such as expenses, OTPs, offers, deliveries, and reminders.

  1. Default SMS role

Android allows only one app to send and receive SMS. If you set this app as the default SMS app, incoming and outgoing texts are handled here. You can change the default SMS app anytime in Settings › Apps › Default apps › SMS app.

  1. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use the app and for the messages you send. Do not use the app to spam, harass, defraud, or break the law. You must have the right to use the phone number and SIM on the device.

  1. Insights can be wrong

The app may extract spend, OTPs, delivery updates, bills, deals, and possible spam from SMS text on this device. Those results can be incomplete or incorrect. Confirm bank, delivery, and payment details in the original SMS or the official app before you pay, tap a link, or share a code.

  1. Links and third-party content

Messages may contain links, numbers, or UPI details from other people or companies. If you open a link, call a number, or complete a payment, you leave this app and use that third party’s service. We are not responsible for those sites, payments, or messages.

  1. Blocking, archive, and delete

Possible scam texts may be flagged from wording. The app does not auto-block a sender. You choose when to block, archive, or delete. Archive hides a thread from Inbox. Delete removes the SMS from the phone.

  1. Permissions

The app may ask for SMS, contacts, notifications, phone (dual-SIM), and microphone (optional voice input). You can deny or revoke these in Android settings. Without SMS permission, the app cannot work as your default messaging app.

  1. No account

You do not create an account to use the inbox. Local preferences, such as blocked senders, starred messages, and chat look, stay on this device.

  1. Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is”. We do not promise that it will always be error-free, that every SMS will be categorized correctly, or that insights will match your bank or courier records. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for lost messages, wrong payments, missed OTPs, or decisions you make based on extracted information.

  1. Changes

We may update these terms when the app changes. The new date will appear at the top. If you keep using the app after an update, you accept the revised terms.
